Coach Maydo's Choice of Having Emery's Track Team Practices at York U's Facility Pays off in Medals

The Emery Track and Field team was a very committed and hardworking team. This year’s spring weather made it very difficult to practice outdoors. As a result, they travelled to York University 4-5 times a week to practice indoors at the university track.

Their commitment to practice prepared them for the Regional Championships. The Girls team , composed of Paula Alvarado, Jeimila Donalds, and Marina Hunter, did not win medals at the Regional Championships but each member improved on their personal best times in their events.
