Executive Assistant to Councillor Anthony Perruzza
With a busy agenda at City Hall over the winter, Councillor Perruzza has embarked in a meeting tour of the Ward to discuss the latest news and to hear from residents. The tour, which started March 20th and will continue for 3 weeks, touched on everything from Subway construction to the change of date for garbage collection.
Subway construction is now at full throttle and the tunnel boring machine is now digging under Keele Street and heading north. Follow this link for details: http://www3.ttc.ca/Spadina/Plan_your_Trip/ Construction_Activity_Maps/index.jsp
Also, Council decided to put to rest the debate about LRT's and that means that the $1Billion investment on Finch Avenue West will go ahead. This is a great win for our community, which will allow us to rebuild Finch Avenue completely and transform it into a great urban avenue, making traffic flow better for drivers and for transit commuters.
